Are you and your skin getting overwhelmed with a number of beauty products you’re putting on? Maybe it’s time to peel back all those layers and keep it simple. This week we spoke with Habiba Raffa the founder of Ayelli on organic beauty misconceptions, organic vs natural, what to look out for when you’re picking your products and even touched on the father-daughter relationship.
When Habiba was a little girl, she wanted to be everything and anything in the world, a doctor, a lawyer, an actress! She wanted to be a doctor because she loved the health aspects of it all. What she loved about being a lawyer was fighting for what’s right and being an activist. She was inspired by actresses because of the glitz and glamour. And by combining all of these together, Ayelli was born.
Ayelli embodies the health aspects through the powerful natural and certified organic ingredients they use with their products, it inspires the activist in Habiba with their sustainable and ethical production practices and it also embodies the beauty and glamour because of the amazing aesthetic results.
“The word natural actually doesn’t mean anything in the skincare and haircare industry. It’s used left and right for marketing and promotion because it makes consumers believe that their products are safe. However, it could actually mean that it was naturally derived from synthetic ingredients or naturally from nature.”
