A Festival For Our Future, Nature: The Conscious Festival is Gamified for its 7th Edition

The Conscious Festival is back. We know there’s nothing quite like experiencing it in-person. So, this year, we’re bringing it to South Beach in Singapore. Lock in the dates – 13-15 October 2023 – and read on for more information.

What?

Green Is The New Black’s annual Conscious Festival is many things. It’s sobering and spirited, educational and entertaining, reflective and imaginative. It spans fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food, money, transport, energy and travel.

What binds all of this together, you may ask? We feel it’s the community forged along the way. By the end of your three days with us, you might have connected with someone so far across the political aisle, you never would have imagined finding common ground. Or you might have figured out how to turn that climate pledge of yours into action. Maybe you’ve been left with even more questions that you’ll scour our blog for answers to. Whether you’re kickstarting your sustainability journey or have been on it for years, we hope The Conscious Festival 2023 will inspire, surprise and transform you.

For our 7th edition, we’re going big. We went virtual in 2020, hybrid in 2021, and in-person in 2022, with a physical event in Paris and a pop-up in London. This year, in keeping with the in-person focus, we’re returning to Singapore gamified. We’re thrilled to celebrate where it all began.

Why are we doing this?

Green Is The New Black Founder Stephanie Dickson shares, “After a wild few years, and two festivals in Paris, we are thrilled to be back on Asian soil this year. The planet is our home and we have a finite time to turn things around. However, it doesn’t all need to be doom and gloom – there is so much to celebrate and be excited about. This is why our new tagline ‘a festival for our future nature’ was chosen. Never one to shy away from a challenge, we are always looking for ways to push the envelope to what is possible with a sustainable event to enhance the guest experience and lower our footprint as a platform. This is why we are very excited about our gamification element this year to further encourage participation and action from our wonderful attendees.”

This edition of The Conscious Festival is hosted by South Beach located at the junction of Bras Basah Road and Beach Road. An eco-friendly lifestyle destination with a wave-like microclimatic canopy that naturally mimics a sea wave. Samantha Tan, General Manager of South Beach Consortium expressed: “We are excited to be the venue partner for The Conscious Festival this year. South Beach and The Conscious Festival share common core values of caring for the environment and celebrating of innovative technology and sustainable lifestyle. I hope the festival visitors will enjoy themselves and have fun with the array of conscious bands and workshops.”

The Conscious Festival endeavours to empower the greater community to take positive actions to leave the world a better place while connecting with ourselves, others and Mother Nature. These efforts are amplified in two cities annually when The Conscious Festival currently takes place in Singapore and Paris. The festival welcomes professionals, individuals, families and little green warriors in the making who want to live more consciously and invites them to join the journey of self and planetary discovery to celebrate what already exists, expand what’s possible, and leave with a renewed sense of purpose and hope for our future, now.

What can I expect?

We’ll be connecting corporations, entrepreneurs, and frontline activists to unlearn harmful norms and, in their place, envision futures that protect the planet and its most vulnerable inhabitants. We believe in the power of creativity, play, and experiential learning to do so – which is why you’ll find The Conscious Leaders Boot Camp, eco-conscious music performances and art installations alongside interactive talks, conscious marketplace, workshops, and much more. Did we mention we’re gamified this year? 👀

👾 GAMIFIED ACTION

The event is almost zero waste, plant-based, carbon negative and this year will gamify the guest experience through web3 and conservation efforts. Festival attendees will be able to earn real trees, being protected on their behalf, for engaging with different activations throughout the event. The more you engage, learn, and interact, the more trees you will earn to build up your own forest. Unlock rewards as you go and stand a chance to win the grand prizes if you build the biggest forest.

🎤 TALKS

The Conscious Conversations Lobby is a sanctuary for seekers of knowledge, providing a space for intellectual stimulation, thought-provoking discussions, and the opportunity to expand your understanding of the world and your place within it. Engage with renowned speakers, thought leaders, and visionaries as they share their wisdom and insights on web3 for the greater good, consciousness, innovation, regeneration, indigenous wisdom, the future of climate tech, mental health and so much more.
