KNOWN FOR
100% organic Kampot Pepper.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Kampot Jewels grows 100% organic Kampot Pepper on their Fair Farm in Cambodia. The thinking behind the brand name of Kampot Jewels is to convey the idea of something precious while going back to the earth and doing something meaningful. The organic farm is composed of 11 hectares, 15,000 poles with a production capacity of 10,000 kilos of Kampot Pepper.  With 3 passionate founders and 17 full-time farmers, they pride themselves on creating an incredible product, while looking after and giving back to both their team, the local community and the environment. The pepper is then delivered to good tables around the world.

WHY THEY’RE CONSCIOUS
In today’s world, typically only 15% of the value or pepper is going to the farmers, with 85% of the value is going to transport, to intermediaries, and someone else. Kampot Jewels wanted to change this model, so they can give back more to their farmers and compensate them for their excellent work. They want to make a brand that consumers love, not only because of the quality of the products but because of what they stand for. Everything on the farm is 100% organic. The farm takes sustainability seriously by using solar power, making their own compost and insect repellant.

WHAT’S THEIR FIGHT
PROTECT THE PLANET: They are focusing on environmental responsibility, zero carbon footprint and sustainability growing 100% organic Kampot Pepper.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE: They are committed to their farmers who want to enhance their livelihood, so they provide them with health insurance, fair salary, and a place they love to live in.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Norbert Binot, a lifetime adventurer, thrill seeker, and true nature lover. Norbert was born into a family of farmers and entrepreneurs in the north of France. He moved to Asia 10 years ago and built his career in the fintech industry until he had a crazy idea to build an organic pepper farm in Cambodia. Through determination and an unwavering passion, he has realised his dream to work with nature and get back to his roots.

Celine Nguy, was born and raised in the suburb of Paris but her roots are in Hong Kong and Cambodia. It has always been her dream to visit her home-countries and learn more about her origins. So after her studies, she decided to look for her first job in Asia and got an opportunity in Singapore. Her move to Asia was a real eye-opener. She fell in love with traveling the region, discovering new cultures, tasting amazing food, meeting locals with fascinating stories. She found in Fair Farms a unique and sustainable way to combine all of her new passions and reconnect with her roots.

Frederic Fretard, Fred grew up in a small village in the west part of France. His playgrounds were the local woods, the grazing fields, and the neighbors’ farms. His grandparents on both sides of the family were farmers and passed down to him the values that are prevalent in this project: the humble appreciation of human labor, the respect of the land as the provider of all things living and the real taste of food when it grows naturally. Fred has been living in Asia for 10 years and has traveled to some of the most remote parts of this region, thanks to his curiosity, his scuba-diving hobby, and his volunteer work.
