KNOWN FOR

Being South East Asia’s top luxury vegetarian eco-friendly retreat centre located in Ubud, Bali.

ABOUT THE BRAND

A 10-minute drive north of Ubud is BeingSattvaa- it is not a typical vacation spa or resort – it is much more. Fringed by rice fields and rain forest, with luxurious residences, a complete range of public and private spaces and services, an international vegetarian or vegan offering, and custom experiences in and around the centre, all delivered on the principles of sustainability, BeingSattvaa offers unique and unforgettable experiences to seekers and retreat leaders.

WHY THEY’RE CONSCIOUS

They’re local: All their staff are from the local community; locally grown and sourced produce, furniture and spa products; their produce comes from their own organic fruit and vegetable garden and local farms.

They’re sustainable: All their kitchen waste is composted, they have a no plastic policy, open spaces to minimise need for air-conditioning, perform rainwater harvesting, waste-water recycling, and even have solar panels used for water heating.

They’re completely vegetarian, and offer vegetarian and vegan international cuisine.

And lastly, they’re experiential and authentic, and provide off-map experiences, opportunities to visit the homes, villages and communities of their Balinese staff members. In addition, they offer experiences to visit hidden ancient temples, and lesser known nature spots (rainforests, rivers, waterfalls and more), encouraging local tourism without it being harmful to the local community.

WHAT’S THEIR FIGHT

WELL-FOR-YOUR-BEING: They help individuals discover their authentic purpose, and help them convert this purpose into impact in service of humanity while also empowering individuals to live a life that is aligned to their Mind, Heart and Soul.

PROTECT THE PLANET: By offering only vegetarian/vegan cuisine, composting all food waste, recycling their waste-water and using solar energy.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE: They employ local Balinese people as members of their staff.
