Shop, Workout, Meditate, and Refocus At Our Earth Day Digital Pop-Up

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating the world and our favourite conscious brands during our Digital Conscious Pop-Up.

On Wednesday 22 April we’re hosting three engaging live digital sessions for the mind, body, and soul, plus a 24-hour pop-up marketplace where you can shop over 30 of your favourite conscious brands at discounted rates.

We may be stuck at home, but we are not alone. As the world continues to fight two battles – the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis – join us on Earth Day to raise awareness, reflect, and refocus. Mark 22 April in your diary (and bookmark our Facebook event); here’s the lineup of what not to miss.

ENERGISE

07:30 – 08:00 / 30-minute Earth Day Challenge Workout. Hosted by Green Curve.

Kick-off your morning with a full-body workout that will leave you feeling energised and ready to smash the day. Led by the amazing trainers at Green Curve (Singapore’s first eco-gym), this session is suitable for all ages, all fitness levels, and you don’t need any equipment. No excuses!

REFLECT

12:00 – 13:00 /  60-minute Earth Harmony Meditation. Hosted by The Golden Space.

Take time out to pause and reflect with this hour-long guided meditation. Facilitated by Yi Hui Lee, the session will help you process our new way of living and bring you closer to understanding how to live peacefully with nature.

REFOCUS

19:00 – 20:00 /  60-minute Panel Discussion: In the climate fight, what should be our priority? Hosted by Green Is the New Black.

Engage your mind with this thought-provoking panel discussion. We’ll focus on how to limit the damage which has already been inflicted upon our planet, plus focus on the most effective ways we can restore and regenerate it. Hear from:

Melati Wijsen: Co-Founder of Bye Bye Plastic Bags, Youthtopia, and a youth activist since she was 12

Orr Yarkoni: Founder & CEO of Colorifix – engineering natural solutions to solve man-made problems

Moderated by our very own Stephanie Dickson, Founder of Green Is The New Black

SHOP: The Conscious Marketplace

8 AM, 22 April – 8 AM, 23 April on greenisthenewblack.com

Report back here from 8 am on 22 April to shop over 30 of our favourite conscious brands in a special Earth Day virtual marketplace. These small businesses and conscious brands need our support now more than ever. To say thank you, each of our brands will be offering three of their best-selling items at discounted prices. Let’s show them some love in return.

Fashion

Brescia Bercane will be showcasing a selection of its hottest swimwear, Baliza’s range of floaty dresses will have you dreaming of your next vacation (post-lockdown, obvs), and Tove & Libra’s minimal capsule wardrobe collection is sustainably chic. Ready-to-wear brand, Stain, upcycle deadstock fabrics preventing textiles entering landfills, and DePloy London is worth checking out for smarter clothes that are expertly tailored. Sweat in style thanks to eco-friendly workout gear from Hoya Kerry And don’t forget to explore the handcrafted textiles of Ritu Priyanka. Plus, we’ve even got your kids covered; kit them out in ethical threads from The Extra Smile.

Footwear

We recently shared the story behind conscious sneaker brand, Lacess. If you need a new pair, snap one up and help save a life in the process. And the ever-brilliant Indosole (who make shoes out of tyres in a socially and environmentally responsible way) also have some of its classic flip-flops and sliders on offer.

Jewellery & Accessories

Sustainable fine jewellers Sceona literally have some gems up for grabs. Check out Indiigo Culture and Green Gaea for stunning ethical earrings. And finally, keep your peepers happy with a pair of ethical sunnies from Truth&All.

Skincare

A little bit of pampering is exactly what we need right now. So pick up some face masks and scrubs from luxury natural skincare brand Elysian 5 Skincare, stock up on essentials like lip balm and bar soaps from plant-based brand Mira, or deodorants and charcoal detox packs from ZeroYet100.

Other Cool Stuff

Help fight the battle against single-use items (like takeout boxes, cups, and cartons) by bagging yourself a discounted one-year membership with barePack. And set up your Muuse account to start borrowing reusable cups for free around your favourite coffee joints in SG. Explore the foodie treats at GTC Life (perfect lockdown snack alert), and boost your immunity with supplements from LVL. Green Curve, Singapore’s first eco-gym, will also be offering up reduced PT sessions. Check out the innovative stationery from Left-Handesign (which you can plant after using to grow herbs!). Stock up on Stasher products; its reusable silicone bags are super handy for storing food and preventing food wastage. And if you need some help to reduce anxiety during these crazy times, look out for the Heaven’s Please tinctures that help reduce stress.
