GREEN WARRIORS NOMINEES 2024
At Green Is The New Black, we meet incredible individuals driving positive change through everyday actions. We believe in the power of small steps, which is why we emphasize taking #LittleGreenSteps to #LiveMoreConsciously. This year, we’re excited to introduce the Green Warriors, an environmental award series and photo exhibit showcasing those making a real difference.
Green Is The New Black is a lifestyle media and events platform that is on a mission to make conscious living mainstream and accessible. We do this through stories and curated experiences advocating for social and behavioural change, that leads to little green steps with big impact. Through our work, we are fortunate enough to meet some seriously inspiring people like the Green Warriors 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2017. Every year we select over 30 GREEN WARRIORS from around the world and celebrate the work they do through stunning portraits.
Previous Green Warriors have included: BLOND:ISH – DJ and founder of Bye Bye Plastic, Gary Bencheghib – Plastic activist and Co-Founder of Sungai Watch, Craig Leeson – Director of A Plastic Ocean, Nadya Hutagalung – model activist, David Yeung – CEO of Green Monday, Esther An – Chief Sustainability Officer of City Developments Limited, Robbie Lockie – Founder of Plant Based News, Isaias Hernandez – Queen Brown Vegan, Assaad Razzouk – The Angry Clean Energy Guy, Aditi Mayer – Sustainability activist and Storyteller, and many more.
About this year’s artistic photo series
Step into a world where the boundaries between humanity and nature dissolves, where the faces of those fighting for our planet meld seamlessly with the endangered landscapes and species they strive to protect. This year’s Green Warriors exhibition invites you to experience “We Are Nature: Voices for the Earth“, a profound visual journey crafted in collaboration with AI artists.
Through a unique fusion of portraits and nature, the exhibition highlights the intrinsic connection between us and the environment, serving as a powerful reminder that safeguarding nature is, in essence, safeguarding ourselves. Witness how these extraordinary individuals embody the spirit of preservation, becoming one with the very ecosystems they work tirelessly to save. Each element of nature intertwined with their portraits reflects a deep personal connection—be it the geographic regions they call home or their symbolic animal totems—capturing the essence of their commitment to our planet.
