Maaike Steinebach, CEO and Founder FemTech Future Limited

Founding Femtech Future Limited to champion women’s health innovation in the workplace.

Maaike has over two decades of leadership experience in financial services and technology, holding executive roles across Asia with Fortis Bank, ABN Amro, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. In 2018, she co-founded both the Fintech Association and the Women Chief Executive Network in Hong Kong, highlighting her commitment to fostering innovation and leadership in these sectors.

In 2019, Maaike shifted towards a tech-focused role as General Manager for Visa Hong Kong & Macau. A passionate advocate for equality, inclusion, and technology, she believes in the power of tech to democratize access to critical aspects of women’s well-being, including mental, sexual, financial, and physical health.

In early 2023, Maaike resigned from Visa to dedicate herself to Femtech, founding Femtech Future Limited, an advisory firm that helps integrate women’s health into corporate environments. She also educates leaders on the potential of Femtech and women’s health innovation. As one of the leading voices on Femtech in Asia, Maaike is addressing the region’s underserved, underfunded, and under-researched landscape in women’s health.

She has earned several prestigious awards, including the Jessica Women in Tech Award 2024 and the Harper’s Bazaar Inspirational Women Award 2023. Maaike delivered notable talks, such as her TEDxTinHauWomen presentation on “The Femtech Revolution” and a session at SXSW on “The Future of Sex” alongside global sex tech expert Bryony Cole. Frequently invited to speak on topics like the gender health gap, Femtech, and the female economy, Maaike continues to drive impactful conversations around women’s health and technology.
