BaliSpirit Festival: 6 Days of Yoga, Dance, Meditation, Music & Positive Change

BaliSpirit Festival is one of South East Asia’s biggest annual yoga, dance and music festivals. Get ready for 6 amazing days and 7 awesome nights of yoga, dance, meditation, breathwork and of course, the night music concerts. BaliSpirit Festival aims to awaken and nourish each individual’s potential for positive change within, leading to a greater positive change in our homes, in our communities and around the world. AND it’s all happening from the 2nd to 8th April 2018 at The Bali Purnati Center for the Arts in Ubud, Bali.

Our commitment to the environment and the people of Bali is not just in our message, but in our action as well.” – I Made Gunarta, Festival Co-Founder and Cultural Liaison

BaliSpirit Festival is a non-profit event and operates 3 year-round outreach programs: AYO! Kita Bicara HIV & AIDS (HIV & AIDS awareness and education program for schools in Indonesia), Bali Conference (a music and arts education and community program) and Bali ReGreen (a bamboo reforestation program in impoverished areas in Bali).

Our top 5 picks of what to do and see at BaliSpirt Festival:

1. Alchemy of Breath by Anthony Abbagnano

Alchemy of Breath is a series of breathing practices that restore our self-awareness, love and compassion. What if there was something right under your nose that could change the way you see the world? In breathwork workshops with Anthony, you will discover breathing techniques that have immediate effect and can be incorporated instantly into your daily life, improving your relationship with yourself, and therefore with the world around you. If you believe ‘the only way out is in’ then the Alchemy of Breath could be for you.

2. Devotional Healing & World Music by Franko Heke

Connection, healing and presence… Franko Heke is on a mission to raise consciousness through his music and workshops. Drawing on ancient mantra in combination with his own cultural roots, Franko’s devotional sessions are bound to coax your own divine voice into the open, with his distinct sounds for today’s day and age. With years of rock music touring under his belt, Franko’s compass has drawn him north toward a movement, which brings people together, celebrating our unique gifts, our connection to one another and to Mother Earth.

3. Embodied Dance by Daniel Rojas

Embodied Dance is a powerful physical practice (strengthening, stretching, opening, conditioning) as well as a highly energetic practice in that it opens free movement within the whole body, aligns energy centres and allows the practitioner to feel inspired, open & energized. To practice Embodied Dance, one simply needs to be free of boundaries related to movement and willing to integrate their own movement based practices into a dynamic journey of physical & energetic healing. Through movement with a rhythm, we not only heal ourselves physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually, as well as develop a connection to Nature, each other and to the entire Universe.

4. Yoga For Nature by Phil Dickenson

Phil is a Yoga teacher, activist, film-maker and the founder of Yoga For NatureTM a global yoga community and registered charity that advocates for the Environment, Human and Animal Rights. With hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the issues, Yoga For Nature was launched in February 2016 and two years on is a registered charity that inspires a growing number of Yogis to advocate for sustainability and peace. Phil believes if we integrate the Yamas and Niyamas into our daily practice, Yoga will significantly improve our world. Hear his Talk at the BaliSpirit Festival.

5. Integrative Health Coach, Claudia Spahr

Claudia is a published Hay House author of Right Time Baby, an Integrative Health Coach, Fertility Expert, Sacred Space Holder, Activator and Priestess. Claudia’s passion is to innovate, live courageously and inspire others to activate their purpose. She believes that co-creation, collaboration and shape-shifting our systems will bring us into the alignment needed to accelerate conscious evolution.
