1. Global carbon emissions to jump to an all-time high in 2018
While the current Paris Agreement calls for nations to limit global warming to 3 degrees celsius, even a rise of 1.5 degrees Celsius is going to be disastrous for many. We’ve seen the freak typhoons, massive droughts, extreme weather events – need I say more? There’s been a lot of talk about catastrophic events on Earth, so what can we do?
2. Go green with North Face for winter!
Going somewhere cold this winter and looking for a new coat? The North Face is joining other brands and going green by launching a line made from recycled plastics. Each jacket removes at least 5 bottles from the landfills and is insulated with 100% polyester. Sounds amazing, but remember to only buy what you need! 3. Australia’s plastic consumption reduced by 80% following supermarket ban
Large supermarkets like Coles and Woolsworth have stopped distributing plastic bags since late July and the consumption of single-use plastic bags has dropped by 80%. This move also inspired small businesses to be environmental stewards themselves, Plus, Australia is legislated to phase out single-use bags in every state (except NSW) in time to come.

5. Chanel goes fur-less.
Who said fashion can’t be ethical. International brand, Chanel, has decided to stop producing garments and accessories made from animal fur- which includes leathery skins from exotic animals like crocodile and snakes.
