Get Your Hands On Impossible ‘Meat’ At Home: Finally!

Impossible Foods to retail its incredible ‘meat’ made from plants directly to consumers for the first time in Singapore in a bid to help local partner restaurants and test the waters for future expansion.

The revolutionary plant-based meat company has been on our radar in Singapore for a few years now (if you haven’t tried the Impossible burgers at Potatohead then you haven’t lived). Its award-winning ‘meat’ that confuddles foodies (are you sure that’s not beef?!) can be found widely across the Little Red Dot at partner restaurants. But we’ve never been able to get our hands on it for use in our own homes: until now.

In a bid to help the F&B industry through the challenges of COVID-19, select partner restaurants are now able to sell Impossible Foods products directly to consumers (huzzah! Finally). But be quick, it’s for a limited time only.

Where can I order it from?

Good question, here’s a list of current online partners selling Impossible ‘mince’ for cooking at home:

Classic Fine Foods

Fatboy’s

Park Bench Deli

Rubato Italian Kitchen & Bar

Straits Chinese

The Goodburger (Food Truck) or purchase in-store outside Coronation Plaza

Retailing in 2.27kg packages of minced ‘meat’, it looks and cooks like ground beef. And it’s perfect for creating burgers, bolognese, skewers, meatballs, and more. If you need inspiration check out its recipe website. Impossible Foods is working on expanding the list of suppliers, but for now, be quick; we’ve checked and it’s selling fast.

Impossible is taking the opportunity to test the retail market and decide whether Singaporeans have enough hunger to justify selling direct-to-consumer in the future. And we for one are very excited. As increasing amounts of us are becoming self-acclaimed chefs during this circuit breaker, Impossible is making it easier for carnivores to dip their toes into plant-based eating. Give it a whirl and taste the impossible (you’ll be glad you did, it’s delicious).
