What’s your story?

How did you start you conscious journey? What’s your story? Green Is The New Black’s story started with a mission to wake people up and empowering them to take positive action so that we can leave the world in a better place than how we’ve found it.

As the incredible Jacqui Hocking, co-founder of Singapore Eco-Film Festival (SGEFF) wonderfully put it, “I believe story-telling is a way to share visionary ideas and scale solutions to the issues we face. Story has the power to change opinions and inspire people to make a difference.”

Create stories that matter!

Stories are not always in books. In this day and age, people are telling stories everyday across social media. You have a sphere of influence, what story are you sharing? Change your narrative to share how and why you live more consciously and use your voice for positive change.

Here are a few #LittleGreenSteps to get you started:

  • Just keep sharing, just keep sharing. Whether it’s Instagram or Facebook, keep sharing regularly on what you’ve been doing to live more consciously. It could be a pair of shoes you bought from an ethical brand or a new event that you think would benefit the community by increasing awareness on certain issues (psst.. like GITNB).

  • Hashtags. Remember to use hashtags like #LittleGreenSteps and #LiveMoreConsciously.

  • Share the love. Stay connected with amazing people in the conscious community and help share their stories as well. Because a conscious community is a supportive community.

  • Tag. Always tag the relevant organisations and brands so more people will know about them and therefore, more people can support them.

Live the story you want to tell!
