For upcycling old cassettes and videos into textile fabrics – MusicCloth®

J.J. Chuan, the founder of Rehyphen®, graduated from Parsons The New School of Design in New York. She is a multi-local who has worked and lived in Singapore, Malaysia, New York and Shanghai. J.J. founded Rehyphen® studio with the mission to lead and inspire a sustainable way to be fashionable. She believes that music is a universal language, and it has the power to change the world. She reimagines a new way of exchanging music and addressing our global waste issues by transforming pre-loved cassette tapes into pieces of MusicCloth® that inspire the global community. Rehyphen® was selected by Kevin McCloud, the famous  British host of Grand Designs on C4, as one of his Top Green Heroes for 2018 & 2019. The Swiss watchmaker Corum announced J.J. as its first ambassador of Corum in Singapore. RedDot 21 also included MusicCloth® as one of the excellent 21st-century world of design.
