Sustainable Coffee Tasting

Have you ever enjoyed a cup of consciousness? We also like to call it a cup of joy. Led by Encompass HK, join us for an indulgent and informational conscious coffee tasting that continues to a greener future. Sustainable policies are key for multinational companies, especially in the coffee industry, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are good instruments to optimize and communicate these policies in collaboration with the company’s most important stakeholders. At this coffee-tasting event, we will discuss the achievement of four SDGs through the coffee supply chain alone:

  • SDG1 No Poverty
  • SDG5 Gender Equality
  • SDG8 Decent work and economic growth
  • SDG15 Life on Land

And, of course, indulge in the refined taste of this artisan quality coffee as the product of sustainable practice from The Hummingfish Foundation while learning more about how different coffee companies have worked towards in achieving these SDGs. We hope you’ll be more conscious about your own next cup of joy.

Olivia Wycech: Olivia is a bon vivant with an insatiable appetite for...everything. Upon being horrified at the amount of rubbish she produced in a single day, her journey towards finding a better balance between being extravagant yet sustainable began. Like most obsessions, down the rabbit hole she went and it wasn’t long before she decided to shift her sustainable preachings from Friday nights after too much wine to every day at Green Is The New Black. Olivia is still trying to figure all this ‘the end of the world’ stuff out, so she is keepin’ it real, one super small #LittleGreenStep at a time. Be like Olivia.
