10 Highlights Not To Miss At The Virtual Conscious Festival

The time has come: join us this weekend at The Virtual Conscious Festival! The stage is set for our inaugural virtual event and we are pumped. Here are the highlights you DO NOT want to miss.

We’ve said all along this is not just another online event. And we mean it. This is an interactive escape with impact that will see you pinging across continents, countries, and borders between Asia and Europe to observe and learn first-hand about the challenges and solutions relating to climate change. We’re all set and ready to go, the question is… are you?

Before we dive into the juicy stuff, we thought you might be wondering whether we practice what we preach when it comes to being sustainable. This year, we are thrilled to be partnering with Carbon Care Asia who will be holding us to account by measuring the impact of the Virtual Conscious Festival.  We’ll follow up post-event with a full rundown of what we are doing to mitigate and offset our carbon footprint.

Without further ado, here are 10 highlights you do not want to miss when the Virtual Conscious Festival goes live this Friday.

2. Ecstatic dance with Stage 6

We’re kicking our opening night off with a bang thanks to Stage 6’s wild We Dance Into The Cosmos; an ecstatic dance experience from the comfort of your own home. No booze. No shoes. Just pure joy and dance. It’s liberating; try it!

3. Keynote Talks with clout

We’re bringing together over 80 speakers from across the globe, ranging from scientists and activists to business leaders and industry experts. We’ll be tackling the big issues that really matter across the themes of WELLBEING, BUSINESS, PLANET, and FASHION. Through a series of keynotes and panels (with wellness breaks in between) we’ll be unpacking juicy content across all three days. The whole line up is immense, but here are three keynotes in particular that we cannot wait to hear.

June 12 at 7 pm: Leaving the World Lusher than we found it by Ruth Andrade, Regenerative Impact Earth Care & Giving, LUSH UK & Europe

Jun 13 at 8:55 pm: From Drawdown to Regeneration – Creating the Future We Want Today by Chad Frischmann, Vice-President & Research Director, Project Drawdown

Jun 14 9:00 pm: Greening the Glam of Fashion by Harriet Vocking, Chief Brand Officer, Eco-Age

View our full line-up of speakers and talks here.

4. The Saturday night SHOW

Party with us in Paris, London, Hong Kong, and Singapore on Saturday night as we crank out live sets from La Mamie’s, Shi Fu Miz, Ice Cream Sunday, and more. We might be missing out on music festivals this summer, but for one night only here’s an opportunity to bring the party to your place.

5. An ENTIRE extra day!

For the first time ever we’ve extended the festival by a whole day. Friday 12 June is exclusively dedicated to all things business. You might be looking for ways you can transform your business to operate more sustainably. Or interested in finding out more about why businesses play such a fundamental role in solving the climate emergency. Or you might just want to listen and be inspired by some seriously impressive sustainable leaders. Whatever the reason, block Friday 12 June out in your diary. And invite your colleagues too.

6. Wonderful workshops

From Universities driving change to invigorating breathwork coaching, we’ve curated an eclectic blend of experiences for you to explore. You can check out our full workshop schedule here, but we’ve picked two workshop sessions that are not to be missed.

First up it’s the brilliant Libby Davey with her live coaching session: Compost your meaning and evolve. Invest 60-minutes of your life on Sunday 14 June to discover what your next steps might be. Learn to listen to your inner compass, find true north and consider who and where to place energy. Define success for yourself! It promises to be truly life-changing.

And secondly…

7. Make your money sustainable

Did you know that your savings could be funding fires in the Amazon rainforest? Are you aware that saving sustainably can reduce your footprint by 27 times more than changing your daily habits? Join Diane and Mayur, the co-founders of mattrvest on Friday 12 June, and learn how you can use your money to have a positive impact on the planet.

8. The Networking

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again; the Virtual Conscious Festival is so much more than just another zoom-esque call experience. Our networking zone provides you with an opportunity to randomly meet other conscious individuals just like you! Hop into the space to be assigned to another Virtual Conscious Festival attendee and who knows? They could be your next best friend, business partner, fellow activist… the opportunities are endless. Don’t be shy!

9. The amazing marketplace

The EXPO, home of our mindful marketplace, is the hub of the Virtual Conscious Festival. Here you’ll find over 70 conscious brands and retailers to explore. Hop in to the expo at any time during the course of the festival; it will remain open for business throughout. Our vendors will be manning their booths which means you can chat with them in live hangouts to find out more about why and how they do what they do. Got a question about #whomademyclothes? They can tell you. Want to know what’s in that moisturiser? Ask away. This is a personal experience we hope you’ll enjoy.

10. The GITNB #LittleGreenSteps pledge

If you’ve been following us for a while you’ll know we’re always banging on about taking #LittleGreenSteps. By that, we mean making small, continuous eco-friendly adjustments to your everyday life. It could be anything from deciding to ditch disposables or eating less meat, to supporting slow fashion brands, or cycling more instead of taking taxis. All of these seemingly small adjustments collectively make a difference and will ensure you’re living a more conscious, eco-friendly lifestyle. And to coincide with the Virtual Conscious Festival, we wanted to share one of our most ambitious goals yet: getting 10,000 people to commit and pledge to take a #LittleGreenStep. What will yours be?

We also owe a huge thank you to our partners The Mills Fabrica, MASH Brands, City Developments LimitedNew World Development Company Limited, and SINO Hotels Group for their continued support of the Virtual Conscious Festival.
