Filmmaker, and co-founder of Make A Change World, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about plastic pollution and promoting sustainability.
Sam Bencheghib is an environmental activist, filmmaker, and co-founder of Make A Change World, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about plastic pollution and promoting sustainability. Originally from Bali, Indonesia, Sam grew up witnessing firsthand the severe impact of plastic waste on the ocean and environment, which inspired his lifelong commitment to environmental conservation.
In 2017, Sam and his siblings, Gary and Kelly Bencheghib, launched Make A Change World as a platform to document environmental stories and advocate for sustainable solutions. Through the organization’s powerful films and social media campaigns, Sam has helped spotlight major environmental issues, particularly the problem of plastic pollution in rivers and oceans. The group’s work includes various river-cleaning projects and initiatives to encourage a shift away from single-use plastics.
Sam is also known for his extreme endurance challenges aimed at drawing attention to environmental causes. In 2019, he ran across the United States from New York to Los Angeles to raise awareness about plastic pollution. The journey, which spanned 3,055 miles, was part of his larger mission to inspire change and encourage people to take actionable steps toward protecting the environment.
Through his activism, filmmaking, and creative campaigns, Sam Bencheghib has become a global advocate for environmental sustainability, using both digital media and personal action to promote a cleaner, greener planet.
