Their products revive and renew dying art forms and crafts by empowering communities with conscious and responsible living with using naturally sourced materials to make a better, greener world.

WHY THEY’RE CONSCIOUS

La Tierra is a fair trade and conscious brand whose products are handcrafted by women and self-help groups in India and Singapore. These skilled people not only independently earn a living but also help to keep the dying art and crafts alive. Each product is unique with its own story, design and craftsmanship. The allocate 20% of their profits help to educate children from dysfunctional families and victims of trafficking. Their range of products includes pure silk, cotton scarves, totes, pocket squares with natural dyes and traditional techniques of hand printing.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Lulu was born into a business family with her father who was a civil engineer and held many patents for his innovations, which was used for benefit of community at large. She saw first hand how rewarding and impactful it is to stay socially committed for a cause. From your childhood to gaining her degree in literature and an MBA later,  she has always appreciated skills and the art and craft forms. She always wanted to bring about the appreciation of craftsmanship and authenticity of nature and also slow down, being mindful as not just a consumer but also as a producer. She believes when a portion of one’s hard work goes back to help needy, it just brings in more empathy and helps us to stay grounded. And this is how La Tierra was born.
