Crystal Clear Protect The Planet

Leather travel bags and accessories handcrafted in Bali.

They are a passionate, ethical, family-run design company producing leather travel bags and accessories handcrafted in Bali. Their designs are made for the wanderers, the makers and shakers, and all those who believe as they do, that they are constantly creating the world we live in. It all comes down to the decisions we make. They are part of the Slow Fashion and Fashion Revolution movements and believe in a fashion industry that values people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measure. All in all, our invitation is for the consumer to buy less and to buy better.

Make your choice and shake the world in a gentle way.

Kmana uses mostly vegetable tanned leather, which is 100% vegetable sourced (from local leaves, barks and roots) to ensure the quality and consistency of the leather used. They have also incorporated minimally proceeded chrome-tanned leather for lightweight bags.

Besides the leather, every other element is traceable and are mostly ethically sourced. They also ensure that they work with workshops that comply with their high ethical standards, such as the women weaving cooperatives who ensure that dyes are 100% vegetable sourced and that organic cotton is used.

CRYSTAL CLEAR: Their leather is locally sourced, coming from the finest family-run tanneries in East Java, Indonesia.

PROTECT THE PLANET: Made to last a lifetime, their bags use full-grain cow or sheep leather as a by-product of the food industry, ensuring fewer seams and durability.

Bea – the wilful wanderer

She is an anthropologist, an economist, a mother of two beautiful children, a passionate yogi, a lecturer, and a dilettante blog writer. One of her great passions is travel. She has lived in and traveled all the continents, supporting and connecting like-minded international institutions, organizations, and individuals that work towards a better world. In 2013, she landed in Bali and fell deeply in love with the island. Ever since, Bali has been home, the place to which she returns, to seek refuge and stand still until her next move, and the place where she has finally decided to follow her passion for sustainable design and bags.
