Some time ago, Ingmar realised that world leaders (that is, the people in power) won’t solve the climate crisis for us, but that we need to hold them accountable anyway because they’re in power and they can change things en-masse. So how can individuals, who often feel disempowered, push those in power to do more? With this question in mind, Ingmar created a network to connect everyone who wants to solve the climate crisis, to take it into our hands.
Thus, We Don’t Have Time was born. It’s at once a social network that connects individuals, a discussion forum based on and centred around scientific evidence, and a tech startup that utilises social media for good: to keep corporations and governments accountable. As the CEO and founder, Ingmar spends his time pushing this network towards these objectives: making climate action and sustainability the new normal by infusing it in every decision made at every level of society, and creating real impact by getting politicians and business leaders to move: away from fossil fuels, and towards lower global carbon emissions.
Ingmar believes that we can influence these powerful people, by harnessing the collective power of the many that we are. If we focus our attention toward those in charge, change will come. But We Don’t Have Time to wait.
